I’m not exactly sure what I was expecting when I bought You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero. I was a new coach, learning how to grow my business and this book kept popping up on my newsfeed. Needles to say the title of the book spoke volumes to my inner badass.
When I first started reading the book, I wasn’t exactly impressed. It was a whole lot of cussing and trying to sound cool. Like a preteen/teenager who is learning how to use her “big girl” words and thinks they make her sound more like an adult when really she just sounds ridiculous.
As I continued to read the book, it began to sound even more hokey. The author kept talking about connecting to Source Energy and using it to increase your frequency.
I found it all very humorous, but I knew there was a message to find. And find it I did!
The message of the book is that you get from the universe exactly what you put into it. In other words, if you are positive minded, even in times of struggle, things will work themselves out. It also carries the message to love yourself and give yourself grace.
It delivers this message while also allowing that we will all have bad days and moments of weakness.
By the end of the book I felt that I had learned a very valuable life lesson and I would even go so far as to credit having read this book with helping me stay positive during the stressful process of looking for a new job.
This is a great book for someone who is looking for a more positive outlook on life.
Prices range from $6.77 to $19.10 depending on format
